Below is the information for this year's Science on the Sonoita Plain being held here at the Research Ranch.  I encourage you all to come out and learn more about the science applications, latest research and project activity in the area. Due to our limited space you must register for the event.  Registration can be done by clicking on the link provided below or through the link provided on our website under Science on the Sonoita Plain. Science on the Sonoita Plain Symposium 2017

When: Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Where: Appleton Whittell Research Ranch, Elgin, AZ

The Science on the Sonoita Plain Symposium is held annually to share results of scientific investigations and land management activities that are occurring within the upper watersheds of Cienega Creek, Sonoita Creek, and the Babocomari River.  The SOSP symposium encourages exchange among scientists, land managers, local landowners, and interested citizens about the unique and diverse resources of the Sonoita Plain.

The Symposium is co-sponsored by the Cienega Watershed Partnership, the Appleton-Whittell Research Ranch of the National Audubon Society, the Nature Conservancy, the University of Arizona, and the Bureau of Land Management.

This year, our primary thematic focus will be on science applications, and will include a panel discussion of ranchers, land managers, and scientists.  We are also anticipating a wide range of presentations on current research and project activity.

This announcement also serves as a call for presentations or posters involving relevant research or project updates.
