Subject: Range Ecology Lecturer needed for Spring 2018 (and beyond?)

Dear Range Colleagues:

Please share this message with post-docs, graduate students, and/or local professionals who would like to gain teaching experience at Humboldt State University.

We need a lecturer to teach RRS 370 Wildland Ecology Principles and RRS 306 Wildland Resource Principles starting January 22, 2018 in Arcata CA.
Teaching support in Introductory Soil Science labs may also be needed.

HSU has a dynamic Rangeland Resource Science degree program that fully qualifies B.S. graduates for Rangeland Management Specialist job series - 0454.
HSU is recognized as a Hispanic Serving Institution and is situated on on the beautiful Redwood Coast of Northern California.

The lecturer will be mentored by and work alongside the current chair of the California Certified Rangeland Manager panel and Associate Editor for Rangeland Ecology & Management, who is actively planning for Society for Range Management accreditation within the next 5 - 10 years. We are very optimistic about hiring a tenure track rangeland management faculty member in the upcoming cycle.

Minimum Qualifications: M.S. degree in Rangeland Ecology and Management, Ph.D. degree completed or near completion preferred.
Salary is dependent upon final course load availability and experience.

If you are interested, please contact Susan Edinger Marshall at sem11 at humboldt.edu<mailto:sem11 at humboldt.edu>

Thanks for helping us cast a wide net!
