Subject: Coordinator position available for MIPN

Interested in helping to lead invasive plant efforts in the midwest?  If so consider applying for the MIPN coordinator position.  This position will continue existing MIPN efforts and create new efforts to reduce the impact of invasive plants in the Midwestern United States. As you will see from the position description the person will oversee the day to day activities of MIPN as well as assist the board in shaping its future direction.

We have just released the description (attached and can be viewed by clicking here<http://bugwoodcloud.org/mura/mipn/assets/File/MIPN%20Position%20Description%205.9.2016.final.doc>).  All the details can be viewed within the position description but I will emphasize several important points below.

1)  Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating the activities of MIPN including providing leadership, obtaining funding, facilitating information development and exchange, and coordinating regional efforts.
2) The position will be 75-100% (negotiable)
3) The person will be hired as a contractor, but located in offices at The Morton Arboretum near Chicago (Lisle, IL).
4) The position will include a stipend for health insurance (negotiable).
5) Funding is “in hand” for one year of contract.
6) Compensation will be based on experience.
