Subject: [Snre] opportunities for paid vegetation field work
The Archer Lab is looking for persons interested in and available to assist with the collection of vegetation data on the Santa Rita Experimental Range over the next several weeks (end of September to mid-October). This work is part of a broader project to examine the effects of shrub encroachment and brush management on a desert ecosystem. We welcome students (grad or undergrad) interested in gaining field research experience. We will provide training (prior experience not necessary) and transportation to the field site (about 40 miles south of Tucson), as well as a wage of $9.50/hour. Depending upon schedules, field dates may be arranged for either weekdays or on weekends. Interested persons should contact Dr. Adam Naito (anaito at email.arizona.edu) by Friday, September 25. Faculty - please announce in your classes.
