Subject: Looking for a PhD or MS student

Hi all,

I am looking for a PhD (preferred) student to work on a national survey of ranchers related to the adoption of NRCS practices as the main focus. We can do it with an MS student, but really think the project will be more at the PhD level. There will be opportunities to work on other activities with this project. The student will have the opportunity to study in a newer collaboration between rangeland ecology and watershed management (REWM) and agricultural and applied economics. I am looking for a student that understands ranching in the U.S., can interact with ranchers to top agency personnel, can travel, and wants to learn about applied research related to putting conservation on the ground including both the ecology and economic sides of things. If you have or know of any recent graduates or someone who will graduate in December that might be interested in such a project, please either have them contact me or send me their contact information and I will contact them.

Thanks,
John Tanaka
