> Oregon State University Extension Service invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, fixed-term, Assistant Professor of Practice position that will serve the area of Umatilla and Morrow Counties in the Columbia Plateau Region in the area of Livestock and Range Management. The Columbia Plateau region is home to a robust and progressive livestock industry in a diverse rangeland environment going from desert steppe to high mountain meadows.

> The faculty member has principle responsibility for needs assessment, Extension program development, educational program delivery and instruction, and evaluation for adult audiences in the area of livestock, rangeland, and natural resources programming using research based information.
> ·        Coordinate and design/implement/deliver/evaluate livestock production and natural resource management educational programs and materials as well as provide support for pasture management and forages related to livestock production in Umatilla and Morrow  counties and other areas as appropriate.
> ·        Educate and facilitate the education of the public using research based information related to livestock systems (cow-calf, feedlot, sheep), pasture production, rangelands, and natural resources as they pertain to production agriculture and farm and ranch management -using newsletters, programs and meetings, site visits, field tours, private consultations, and other forms of web-based and social media.
> ·        Responsible for developing, designing, and delivering Extension education programs focused on value-added production (beef cattle and sheep) through all segments of the industry including cow-calf, retained ownership, backgrounding / finishing, and processing).
