I am reaching out to you and your network on finding local help (within
Cochise County preferable but the closer to Sierra Vista the better) for a
project I am managing on Fort Huachuca.



Dan Robinette is our Senior Scientist Subject Expert. I am looking for
someone who can dedicate up to and most likely 40 hours a week beginning
Sept. 29 on military land and trail assessments. The position is project
specific, $15.00/hr., no benefits, no travel or per diem. We are not
collecting species specific information but experience in conducting
vegetation and rangeland sampling in a variety of vegetation associations
found in Arizona would be nice, not required, and we will train on the job.
We will be collecting foliar and basal cover and soil surface cover for the
land assessments. Trail assessments is combined walking and/ or driving
mostly unpaved, native surface military maneuver trails to assess their
drivability condition. We will collect road surface and shoulder hazards
along with woody and herbaceous vegetation encroachment. Some collection
will be for quantitative analyses while other information will be collected
for qualitative analyses.
