*******

Announcing the Arizona Section Society for Range Management Annual Summer Meeting and Training.
This year’s event will be held jointly with the White Mountains Grassland and Forest Ecosystem
Restoration Conference and Field Tour, Thursday August 14 and Friday August 15, 2014 in Show Low
Arizona and the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests. See attached agenda. Online registration is available at:
http://www.active.com/show-low-arizona/photography/workshops/white-mountain-forest-ecosystem-restoration-conference-field-tour-and-photo-workshop-2014?int

See attached instructions for help navigating the registration process. Make sure you select all the activities
you want to attend and note that the Thursday and Friday onsite lunches will require that you select them
so we can get a headcount.

AZ SRM headquarters and camping for the event will be found at the Lewis Canyon Group Campground<http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/asnf/recreation/camping-cabins/recarea/?recid=44743&actid=33>
just south of Pinedale, west of Show Low starting on Wednesday evening, August 13. Section activities will
include a membership meeting and hamburger fund raiser for youth and college members on Thursday, as well
as breakfast Thursday and Friday.

And, if that’s not enough, this event will be followed by an all day workshop on Saturday August 16 called
Better Photo’s-Better Rangelands<http://cals.arizona.edu/vbarv/rangeprogram/content/better-photos-better-rangelands>; taught by Arizona Highways photographers and brought to you by the
University of Arizona’s V Bar V Range Program. Again, make sure you select that option when you register.
Participation in the photo workshop is limited to the first 50 registrants so don’t wait too long. The photo workshop
will also be at Lewis Canyon Group Campground<http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/asnf/recreation/camping-cabins/recarea/?recid=44743&actid=33>.

Total cost of registration for Thursday/Friday including all meals and section activities is $92.50.
Cost of the photography workshop is $125.
Total for all 3 days is $217.50.

Sponsors for Better Photo’s-Better Rangelands include:
Arizona Section Society for Range Management
Arizona Native Plant Society
Grand Canyon Trust
Sue Smith
University of Arizona School of Natural Resources and the Environment
Yavapai County Master Gardeners

On behalf of the AZ SRM Board of Directors and Steve Campbell with Navajo County Cooperative Extension,
I look forward to seeing you all Show Low in August.
