The Prescott National Forest has a seasonal job opening for a wildlife technician, GS-5, with a proposed starting date of May 5, 2014 and ending Oct. 3, 2014. This would be a 40-hour per week position, with flexible scheduling to allow for four 10-hour days per week. This is a field-going position requiring considerable hiking. The crew of 2 will consist of one wildlife technician and one range technician working together as a team. There will be multiple monitoring tasks to be performed including wildlife surveys, rangeland vegetation inventory and monitoring, and livestock grazing compliance duties.
