 Hi Emily,

I was talking to Trevor about the V Bar V's quarterly newsletter, the
"Rimrock Report", and he mentioned that some Tierra Seca members might be
interested in participating as guest authors for the "plant of the week".
The format is flexible, basically anything a person wants to say about
his/her favorite plant. It could be a formal scientific fact sheet,
complete with biochemical diagrams on plant secondary metabolites, or a
casual informational story telling of the plant's importance. The general
format is two to three pages with plenty of pictures. Here's a link to the
Rimrock archive for reference:
https://cals.arizona.edu/vbarv/rangeprogram/rimrock-report

Attached is a list of all the past "plant of the week" plants. So a plant
that's not on the list would be nice. However, If someone's favorite plant
is on the list they can still write about it, they'd just have to read the
previous article on that plant and try to minimize the overlap in their
article, maybe even use the previous article as a launching point for their
article. Some plants on the list were part of "themed" articles, which
means they were briefly mentioned as part of a larger topic (thorned
plants, fire adaptations, etc). Those particular plants could easily be
revisited if anyone really wanted to.

Could you please check if anyone would be interested in participating. I'm
looking to get someone lined up for the January 1st 2015 newsletter. If
there is a lot of interest then we could schedule guest authors for future
newsletters.

Thank you,

Christopher Bernau
