Dr. Ruyle – ****

I am contacting you because my firm (EcoPlan Associates, Inc) has a
contract with the ****Apache-Sitgreaves** **National Forest**** to conduct
rangeland plant inventories beginning this August. Our study area includes
180 separate ‘key areas’ and lies within the boundaries of the Wallow Fire
burn area. Following some discussion with Dave Evans of A/S, he suggested I
contact you for possible staff to help assist with the inventory field
work. ****

We are interested in range management graduate students or anyone qualified
you may know that would benefit from working on this project between August
and November of this year. The work includes recording data from 100 total
quadrats from two transects in each key area. Range plant ID experience is
preferable, as is any experience with the use of CNVSP software. ****

Also, I am a UA grad (’94) from the SRNR, with a degree in Wildlife and
Fisheries Science. It’s always a good feeling to come full circle and be
able to offer paid positions to UA students. I know the experience I gained
with temporary (and relevant) positions during my undergrad years has
served me well along the way. ****

The pay is $15-20/hour with a $20 daily per diem that covers food. Travel
is reimbursed on a per mile basis ($0.50) and camping is necessary. ****

** **

I appreciate any thoughts or suggestions you can provide. ****

** **

Sincerely, ****
