Sorry about the quick turn around on this, but I have 2 openings for
seasonal range technicians on the Prescott NF this summer. See the details
below, but they need to get their applications into USA jobs by this
Friday, Jan. 11th. Please share with anyone who may be interested.

Hi Eddie! I hope you had a good holiday season.

I will be hiring 2 seasonal range technicians on the Prescott NF this
summer, which is great news, but they have asked us to fill them along with
the fire seasonals at an event in Albuquerque at the end of the month. This
means applicants need to have their applications in by this Friday, January
11th. Sorry about the short notice!

I am looking to fill these at either the GS-3, 4, or 5 level.

To qualify as a GS-3 ($11.95/hour) one needs just six months of general
outdoor ranch/labor experience or one year of study with at least 6
semester hours in natural resources of some sort.

To qualify at a GS-4 ($13.41/hour) takes either 6 months generalized
experience plus 6 months specialized range in data collection, etc OR
completion of 2 years of study with at least 12 semester hours in natural
resource-related courses (wildlife, watershed, range, soil, restoration,
etc)

To qualify as a GS-5 ($15.00/hour) requires one year experience at a GS-4
grade level OR completion of a full 4-year course of study with at least 24
semester hours in natural resource related courses.

To Apply:

The announcements are on USA Jobs, and that is where to apply. Have
potential applicants look up these announcement numbers:

GS-3: TEMPOCR-0455-03-RANGE-DT

GS-4: TEMPOCR-0455-4-RANGE-DT

GS-5: TEMPOCR-0455-5-RANGE-DT

Note that there is a “zero” before the 3 in that announcement number that
is not present in the other two. If you don’t type it in that way, it will
not pull it up.

VERY IMPORTANT: The applicant must choose “Chino Valley, AZ” as the duty
station.

We have no government housing to offer. The start date is flexible to allow
for completion of studies. We have funding for about 8 pay periods (4
months) for the 2 person crew.

Give me a call or email if you have any questions, or give my contact info
to potential applicants. Chris Thiel (928) 777-2211 office, (602) 228-2711cell,
