Hello Tierra Seca Members!
This weekend (October 26-27-28) we will have our *Ranch Camp-Out* at
Alanna's family ranch in Dragoon, AZ. We will be camping overnight on
Friday and spending all day Saturday on the ranch. If you want to stay
through Saturday night, you're welcome to do that as well.
We will be helping to pull cockleburs from the washes around the ranch in
exchange for a donation to the club. We will also be having fun and
exploring/hiking around the ranch as well as learning about different
aspects to ranching.
It takes about an hour to drive to the ranch (East on I-10 and exit at
Dragoon), so we will be carpooling where we can. If you want to drive
yourself, you are more than welcome to. Sedans should make it down the dirt
road to the ranch house just fine. The club will reimburse you for gas.
If you can only make it out on Saturday, you're welcome to drive in then
instead. Let me know if you need directions to get to the ranch (they're
pretty easy to follow).
The club will be providing meals, including: Dinner on Friday (probably
hamburgers/hot dogs), Breakfast on Saturday (eggs, bacon, toast), Lunch
Saturday (sandwiches), Dinner Saturday (maybe pasta). You'll need to bring
any extra food that you'll want to snack on, or any alternatives to these
meals. Let me know if you'd like me to accommodate the food selection to
have vegetarian/vegan options.
*Please R.S.V.P. to me: if you plan to attend! Also let me know: when you
plan on being there, and if you will be driving yourself or want to carpool
with somebody.*

We had a great time last semester and hopefully we will have a repeat
experience!
See you soon,
