The 17th Wildland Shrub Symposium will be held at the Las Cruces Convention Center on May 22-24, 2012.  The WS symposia are held every other year and typically bring together members of academia and land management agencies from the western states concerned with arid land management and ecology.  Please visit  http://jornada.nmsu.edu/wildland-shrub-symposium for more information and/or see brochure attached.

These symposia are an excellent venue for graduate students to present their research to a supportive and friendly audience.  Please note that abstracts are due on March 31, 2012 and can be submitted on line at the URL address given above. We hope you will consider attending and/or encouraging your graduate students to do so.
