Subject: [Snre] Undergraduate Student Fellowships FY2013
University of Arizona Water Sustainability Program
Undergraduate Student Fellowships FY2013
Nominations Invited
The Water Sustainability Program (WSP) of The University of Arizona is pleased to announce
that fellowships will be available for outstanding undergraduate students studying any aspect of
water resources at The University of Arizona for the 2012/2013 academic year. Department
heads are invited to nominate up to two exceptional candidates from their degree granting unit
to compete for an award. These awards are to encourage and support students wishing to
specialize in the field of water resources. Up to four undergraduate fellowships of approximately
$2,750 each will be awarded on a competitive basis for a one-year term. All fellowship
applicants must have a faculty member designated as a project advisor.
The mission of WSP is to provide science-based technical, economic, legal and policy expertise
necessary for water development, use and conservation in a rapidly growing, increasingly urban
state. One component of the program is to offer training and research opportunities in water
resources for students through fellowship awards. Funding is provided by the Technology and
Research Initiative Fund (TRIF), through the Water, Environmental and Energy Solutions
initiative.
Nominee Application Materials

• All college/university transcripts (copies of official transcripts are acceptable).

Awards will be announced in April. Funding will begin fall semester 2012. Fellowship
