Hi Tierra Seca students,

*First order of business: Meeting Times*

We have yet to figure out a regular meeting day and time for this semester.
Meetings are held once every other week and last for about an hour at most.

I suggest these start times (as according to my schedule):

Mondays: 12pm, 1pm
Wednesdays: 12pm
Thursdays: 12pm, 1pm

Please let me know if any of these times work for any of you. My choice
would be Wednesdays at 12pm, but let me know what you all prefer.

*Second order of business: First Meeting*

Our first meeting of the semester will take place on the second week of
school (August 27-31). As soon as we decide on a meeting time I will
announce the date and time of the first meeting. Pizza will be served.

*Third order of business: Recruitment*
*
*
I need volunteers to visit different classes and announce the data and time
of the first meeting as well as give a description of the club. We want to
recruit as many people as we can, even if they are not Range students. I
would like to have this done throughout the first week of school to give
students time to plan for the meeting. I can give you a slideshow of photos
if you want it.

*Fourth order of business: URME*
*
*
Undergraduate students, please start thinking about if you would like to
participate in the Undergraduate Range Management Exam (URME) at the
upcoming national Society for Range Management (SRM) meeting. We will have
weekly meetings to study. We had a great time last year in Spokane and took
5th place as a team overall out of about 30 universities, with one student
taking 4th place individually. This year the meeting will be in Oklahoma
City. We will talk more in depth about this at our first meeting.

We have plenty to catch up on at the first meeting or two, so please be
sure to attend. Hopefully I will see you all soon!

Thanks,

Kelsey Hawkes
