Hello* Tierra Seca Members,*

We had a pretty low turnout at the meeting today (hopefully not because we
didn't have any pizza...), which did not allow us to accomplish much in our
planning for the RISE Symposium on this upcoming Saturday in the Marley
Building lobby like I had hoped.

We need club members to help with setting up, throughout the event, making
coffee, and breaking everything down at the end. It would really be great to
have as many club members attend to help out as we can. We will expect to be
on campus with this event from around 7:30am at the earliest, and getting
everything packed up by 3pm-ish. If you are not able to stay for that entire
time period, that's completely fine, but if you are able to come for any
portion of that time, it would be a big help (especially during the set-up
and clean-up times).

We also need help with snacks/drinks. We will be serving mostly breakfast
related food and beverages for donations only (though it's fine if we
include cookies and brownies), and it would be awesome if people could all
contribute different items to the event (muffins, banana bread, pastries,
fruit, juice, tea bags, donuts, etc. etc.). We already have serving supplies
(plates, napkins, etc.) so don't worry about those kinds of things.

If you can't stay at the event, but you'd like to bake something and drop it
off, we'd be happy to have you do that as well.

*Tierra Seca members: PLEASE email me ASAP to let me know if you'll be
attending the event* to help the club raise money so that I can keep track
of who to expect and what food items to expect so that we don't have
everybody bringing the same thing (also so that I know what we still need to
get). It's really important that we have at least 3 or 4 people helping out
at any one time during the event, so I'd really like to encourage everybody
to come if you can make it.

Thanks for your help and see you soon,
