[Risgchairs] IYRP stragey and action plan 2025-2026

Dear WG leads and RISG chairs


During our discussions at UNCCD COP 16 in Riyadh, it was decided that the
IYRP Global Alliance would develop an action plan for the next two years on
priority actions for the implementation of the international year. The
Government of Mongolia will then review the action plan, and discuss with
us, what actions they would strategically support, lead and/or perhaps
provide resources for. However, we should attempt to implemenall all our
listed actions by getting support from other IYRP supporting countries and
institutions.


Attached is a rough figure outlining our four key strategies that the
action plan will be based on, and in the Excel sheet, we list the specific
activities, objectives  and level of implementation.

*Could you kindly add activities that you envision that you or the IYRP
should implement in support of the International Year?* However, note that
we do not want this to be a wish list, but attainable activities within the
timeframe and funding constraints.

The Global Secretariat of the Alliance will work on the inputs received and
develop a full action plan (seek GCG approval) and present it to the Govt.
of Mongolia. We are expected to present the action plan before the end of
the first quarter.


It would be awesome if we can receive your comments by 26 February 2025.
