Dear RISG chairs


We would like to keep the momentum going and regularly report back on the
IYRP activities in our regions. This information will be shared with a
wider audience, including those who have expressed support for the IYRP to
create awareness and stir further interest. Most importantly, we need to
make sure that we continue to build a solid foundation for a
successful IYRP in 2026, brick by brick. And to make sure that we continue
to strive for healthy rangelands and resilient and sustainable pastoral
livelihoods worldwide.

I am suggesting that we meet 22 September 2023 from 2:30 to 5:00 pm SAST.

Let me know if the time suits you and may I encourage you to draft your
regional update report to be presented at the meeting? Also, highlighting
pastoral involvement in your activities.
