Dear IYRP Regional Chairs

Just a friendly reminder about our scheduled meeting next week, 24 Nov 2022 at 2-4pm SAST.

The Preliminary agenda:


1.      Finalising IYRP RISG coordinators list

2.      IYRP symposium at the SRM Conference at Boise, Idaho, (07 Feb 2023).

3.      Proposed global pastoral gathering

4.      Proposal to gain deeper insights into pastoralists’ understanding and interpretations of the terms ‘Rangelands’ and ‘Pastoralists’

5.      Fundraising for RISGs to increase pastoralists’ participation in IYRP

6.      Any other business

Dear RISG

Thank you to those who completed the Doodle poll.

The majority decided that 24 Nov 2022 at 2-4pm SAST would be most applicable to have our meeting. The meeting is largely to discuss fundraising in your respective regions  that would contribute towards getting more pastoralists involved in IYRP activities and processes. We should also in the meantime think about whether we would want to hold a global pastoral gathering in 2024. The short agenda will be sent closer to the meeting date.

If you cannot make it for the meeting, please ensure that at least one other member from your coordinating group attends.
