loss of soil carbon in grasslands. The <a href="https://www.fao.org/partnerships/leap/en/">
FAO Livestock Environmental Assessment and Performance (FAO LEAP) Partnership</a> developed a Global assessment of soil carbon in grasslands: From current stock estimates to sequestration potential, in collaboration with France’s Institut national de la recherche
agronomique (INRAE). The study provides a spatially explicit report on the state of grassland soils in the world and estimates the potential of grasslands to sequester carbon in soils.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
