<p class="MsoNormal">As most all of you know, John Tanaka retired from the University of Wyoming and stepped down as our WERA Administrative Advisor at the beginning of the year. We were hoping he and Ann would be able to join us at the Annual Meeting in North
Dakota so we could honor both of their significant and much appreciated contributions to the Partnership in person, but family matters arose that kept them close to home. Nevertheless, we did send them a package of thank yous, including the Trailblazer Award,
after the meeting. Attached is a thank you note from John to all of you.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">While we miss John’s strong and creative leadership, we were very pleased to welcome Dr. Barbara Petty, Associate Dean and Director of Extension at the University of Idaho, to the Partnership as our new WERA Administrative Advisor. For
those of you who were unable to attend the meeting in Fargo, you will have another opportunity to meet her in Tucson next year (March 29 – April 1). Please mark your calendars now…perhaps John and Ann will come down to join us for some Sonoran Desert sunshine,
