<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white"><span style="font-size:11.5pt;color:#333333">Myself (grad student), Dr. Jonathan Coop, and Dr. Corrie Knapp are interested in gaining a better understanding of what researchers, resource managers, and others mean
when they refer to vegetation- (or site-, or ecological-) "type conversion", as catalyzed by severe disturbance. Our focus is western North America. We are inquiring about how extensively, where, and in what vegetation types this phenomenon may be occurring,
whether it is viewed as a management concern, and how it may be addressed. <br>
