[RangelandsPartnership] Time Sensitive - Testimonials, Videos, Photos Needed This Week!

Greetings Partners,

Many of you know that the first official U.N. vote for an International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP) will be held later this month at the FAO Committee on Agriculture (COAG) meeting (Sept. 28-Oct. 2).  The decision to hold the meeting virtually was only made a few weeks ago which meant that an "in person" side event to promote the Mongolian proposal for an IYRP would not be possible.

The IYRP Support Group had to work quickly to come up with an idea for a "Virtual Booth".  To that end, I am working with the AZ RP team as part of a sub-committee to put together a new promotional IYRP website that will visually represent rangelands and pastoralists around the world.  WE NEED YOUR HELP!  There will be nine regional pages all with the following content:

  1.  45-90 second minute testimonials (take out your iphone and video yourself telling why rangelands are important to you and why we need an IYRP!) OR, do you have previously made testimonials from your stakeholder groups?
  2.  Overview videos about rangelands or stakeholder stories that are already available (3-10 minutes)
  3.  Beautiful "rangeland" photos for a rotating photo gallery (with credits: photographer, location, and estimated date if possible)
