PDP Associate Coordinator

The Associate PDP Coordinator is actively engaged in the breadth of the Western Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education program. Duties range from working with grant recipients to outreach and educational presentations to reviewing grants and reports. Travel throughout the West is required and an ability to work with diverse agricultural audiences is a necessary skill.  People skills with a team orientation, an understanding of agriculture, and experience working with computers and software would all be strong skills for potential applicants to have.  Applicants do not need to be employed by a land grant university and may be located anywhere within the Western region.

 Clayton Marlow Named:
Interim Regional Coordinator
Montana State University and Western SARE welcome Dr. Clayton Marlow as our Interim Regional Coordinator. Dr. Marlow is a veteran professor<https://westernsare.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b5a00d7c59eb45a9461336ca3&id=5bc18df669&e=bcbcf68e8a> of MSU's Animal and Range Sciences Department with extensive expertise and experience.

Dr. Fabian Menalled submitted his resignation letter as the regional coordinator of Western SARE, effective April 30, 2020. Fabian led the process to make Montana State University the host institution for Western SARE and setting up the program at MSU. MSU and the Western SARE Administrative Council appreciate his service.

MSU, as the host institution, will work closely with the Administrative Council  to follow the procedures outlined in the Western SARE Administrative Council handbook and by USDA-NIFA to begin the search for a permanent regional coordinator.

Both Western SARE and MSU share the goal of Montana State University continuing its role as the Host Institution. All staff continues to manage Calls for Proposals, grant applications, proposal reviews, and communication efforts.

They make artisan farmstead sheep cheese and also grow organic herbs. Their mission is to produce nutritious, high-quality food using organic and ecological farming techniques.
