Karen
I thought you would be familiar with the site. I forgot to mention the other web modules. Like you, I figured we could harvest those modules as well as the behavior site. Sorry I forgot to mention them.
The Wayback Machine is a godsend if you know that something was once posted on the web and now you can’t find it anywhere. From time to time when old links won’t work I use the Wayback Machine site to find that information. It hasn’t failed me yet.

Beth – Indeed I did not know about the “WayBackMachine”
This is a salvation. We can access copies of all the stuff on ForestandRange.org. We could make a pretty quick start on our proposal by reviving these modules:
>Watershed Function and Water Conservation for Range Management<https://web.archive.org/web/20170119203421/http:/www.modulesforestandrange.org/module_Watershed_Function/>
>Managing Rangelands Before, During, and after Drought<https://web.archive.org/web/20170119203421/http:/www.modulesforestandrange.org/module_Rangeland_Drought/>
>Using Livestock Behavior to Improve Landscapes, Productivity and Profitability<https://web.archive.org/web/20170119203421/http:/forestandrange.org/modules/behavior/index.htm>
>Livestock and Wildlife Interactions <https://web.archive.org/web/20170119203421/http:/forestandrange.org/modules/livestockwildlife/index.htm>
>Rangeland Monitoring in Western Uplands <https://web.archive.org/web/20170119203421/http:/forestandrange.org/modules/vegmonitor/index.html>
>Riparian Area and Grazing Management<https://web.archive.org/web/20170119203421/http:/forestandrange.org/modules/streamriparianarea/index.htm>
>Rangeland Weeds <https://web.archive.org/web/20170119203421/http:/forestandrange.org/Rangeland%20Weeds%20module/index.shtml>
I am so happy these have not been lost to history. Anyone know who we call? I love the idea of dusting off and updating existing modules rather than starting from scratch. I think repackaging what already exists could be mentioned in the proposal as a way to be efficient and get a lot done in a short time.
Steady On,
Karen

Hi All,
I would like to help. In 2006, Kathy Voth and I created a web course on Livestock Behavior called Eat at Joes. Unfortunately, the only place I can find the site now is on the Wayback Machine (I hope you know what that is). I will need to capture those pages and move them to an active site. I’m fairly certain I can recreate the eat at Joe’s site and then update the site to add current and past research. Also, I am finishing fact sheets or web pages on litigation and some on policy. Neither of these topics are probably needed for the certification programs but both I believe are very important topics regarding range management, especially on public lands. I hope you and others agree. I talked with Karen Launchbaugh this morning regarding this proposal.
If you want to look at Eat at Joe’s the link is http://forestandrange.org/modules/behavior/menu.htm<https://urldefense.com/v3/__http:/forestandrange.org/modules/behavior/menu.htm__;!!JYXjzlvb!ykPBCIdBTPSotPzYkvXIF4-_-SqoyWwmCW--c95jjwpfzTlWUP_lEAQqG0sxGZkkHQ$> but you’ll need to paste that url into the Wayback Machine https://archive.org/web/<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/archive.org/web/__;!!JYXjzlvb!ykPBCIdBTPSotPzYkvXIF4-_-SqoyWwmCW--c95jjwpfzTlWUP_lEAQqG0tTseOIlg$> . Then click on 2019 and then December 2, 2019 to view the site.
I’m headed to California tomorrow to take care of my mom. She broke her ankle about 3 weeks ago. I’ll be there a month, but I should have time to help. Between her ankle and COVID-19 we can’t go anywhere. I’m sure I will make it to the beach at least a few days.
Take Care,
Beth

Aloha Rangelands Partnership,
I hope everyone is safe, healthy, and spending time in the field or Library as the case may be.
Karen Launchbaugh, Barb Hutchinson, Amber Dalke, Aaron Lien, and myself are starting work on a proposal to the USDA focused on development of a workforce training curricula for early and mid-career range management professionals. We feel that the output of this project will help advance the profession of range management by providing support for the two Society for Range Management certification programs through test preparation curricula and continuing education opportunities and training opportunities for state and federal land management personnel, while also providing a mechanism to enhance the sustainability of the Rangelands Partnership. Attached to this email is a brief prospectus of the project we envision. We would like to invite anyone with time and an interest in the project to join us in collaboration. Please review the attachment and let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you on your decision.
Kind Regards,
Mark
