Dear friends and colleagues,
An extension for the call for papers has been announced for the next  International Grasslands and Rangelands Congress. The congress is the first joint grasslands and rangelands congress in Africa, and will be held in Nairobi, October 2020.

Could you please disseminate widely the Call for Papers throughout your networks (attached).

The 200-300 words requested is really just an expression of interest, as you will be asked to submit your Abstract by 30 April 2020. The themes which particularly need more papers are:
*       LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION SYSTEMS
*       WILDLIFE, TOURISM AND MULTI-FACETS OF RANGELANDS/GRASSLANDS
*       PASTORALISM, SOCIAL, GENDER AND POLICY ISSUES
*       CAPACITY, INSTITUTIONS AND INNOVATIONS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN RANGELANDS/GRASSLANDS.
Information does not seem to have been disseminated widely in Australia, so please send this information around all of your networks. Please contact me if extensions in time are needed, as I recognise that this is short notice for those who have not heard about the Congress previously.

The pre-congress tours are always a feature of the rangelands Congresses. Some of these could be a trip of a lifetime, as we will visit with some off the-tourist-track communities and hear from inspirational speakers. I have just helped with the planning.
