Greetings!

With the holiday season upon us, I want to say Thank You! to all who contribute to the work of the Rangelands Partnership. Your hard work and dedication to providing information and education to land managers, researchers, Extension professionals, educators, students, and the public helps to support the mission and vision of the Partnership. For details on specific contributions and advancements of the Partnership, be sure to read the newsletters.

Thank you to all who completed the Sustainability Survey earlier this year. Based on the results<https://www.dropbox.com/s/acbjlnitwnbbw3w/RP-Sustainability-Survey-2016-responses.pdf?dl=0>, the Executive Committee (EC) and the Arizona Team have agreed on a number of priorities on which the Partnership should focus:

Sustainability/Long-Term Funding
To include the establishment of a dues structure, continuing and improving communication with faculty/researchers (especially in relation to grant proposals and in clarifying how the RP can help), member recruitment (national and international), and communication among members and stakeholders.

Services and Collections
We need to continue to improve our services and collections, including keeping information current (e.g. topics sections). The top services/collection to focus on most right now are: topics sections, multimedia resources, and the database.

Marketing and Outreach
We want more people to use our services and collections and this requires marketing and outreach in a variety of ways, and effects a number of areas of our work (collections, services, membership, communication, etc.). With this in mind, we need to continue marketing our services and collections to our audience/stakeholders as well as to possible new members. This includes keeping up with our social media outlets and newsletters, as well as keeping and forming new connections with stakeholders and members. One area of particular focus in outreach this year is the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists Initiative<http://globalrangelands.org/international-year-rangelands-and-pastoralists-initiative>.

The EC and the Arizona Team are keeping these priorities in mind as we continue our work for the RP, and encourage you to do so as well. You can start by answering our ONE question survey about your use of educational or informational mobile apps: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KBXCYNH

And, did you know we have a list of educational and informational mobile apps on the Global Rangelands multimedia page? Explore the list at http://globalrangelands.org/multimedia.

If you have any questions about the above priorities, the survey results, or anything else, please let us know.

Happy Holidays!
