Hello,

I'd like to follow up on Allison's email by introducing myself and saying hello to everyone in the Rangelands Partnership.  As Allison mentioned, my name is Jocelyn Boice and I am the new liaison librarian for natural resources at Colorado State University.  I'm a recent graduate of Syracuse University's MSLIS program, and I arrived at CSU in December after working as a temporary science librarian at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY.  Needless to say, I am enjoying the (relatively) mild weather in Fort Collins!  I am very pleased to have the opportunity to participate in Rangelands West and I am eager to learn from Allison during the transition period.  I look forward to working with all of you!

Hi Rangelands West Folks,

This month marks the 10th anniversary of my involvement in the Rangelands West Partnership. It has been an exciting 10 years and I am thankful for all the great librarians, extension agents, and faculty I have been able to work with over the years.  In July 2013 I started a new job with the CSU librarians as the Coordinator for Collections.  The new job is great, but it also means I will be moving from the natural resources librarian and the CSUL contact for Rangelands West.  I will stay on the listserv until June, but.....drum roll please....

CSU has a great new natural resources librarian, Jocelyn Boice. She started at CSU in late December so we are still transitioning projects and workload. She will be the new librarian working with Paul and Maria on the Colorado Rangelands site and Rangelands West. She is on this listserv (thanks Jeanne) and we will both try and attend some of the Davis meeting from our "virtual" location.

Thanks for a wonderful 10 years with this project and best wishes for the next decade!!

Dear Rangelands Partner:

The annual Rangelands Partnership Meeting is just over a month away, March 23-25, at the beautiful setting of University of California-Davis!  The attached DRAFT from the Executive Committee outlines this year's agenda, though some of the agenda details are subject to change prior to the meeting.

As Vice-Chair, however, I need to determine member participation both to finalize the agenda and to assist Mel George and John Harper with meeting logistics at UC-Davis.

Please provide me with the following information as to you and your institution's participation in the 2014 meeting:


1.      Will you be attending the 2014 meeting at UC-Davis in person?  Who else from your institution will be attending?

2.      If you are not attending the 2014 in person, will you be attending the 2014 meeting virtually?

For those still needing to register for the meeting, please see the attached registration document.
Note that hotel registration MUST BE MADE by February 23, 2014.
