[RangelandsWest] Rangelands West-related sessions at SRM Meeting in Oklahoma City

Greetings Rangelands Partners!

 

I hope to see many of you at the SRM meeting in Oklahoma City in just a few
short weeks.  Here are the Rangelands West-related events:

 

1)      I will be giving a presentation "From Local to Global: Launching the
New Rangelands West Portals and Database" on Monday at 3:00pm in the
"Economics, Extension, and Policy" Technical Session.  Susan Marshall will
join me to also demo the new "Range Recruitment and Careers" website.  I
think the session will be held in Meeting Room 14, but there have been some
problems with the Program so check for any last minute changes.

 

2)      There will also be an opportunity to provide feedback on the new
websites and to hear about plans for the future, including the annual
meeting coming up in May.   Please feel free to stop in on Tuesday afternoon
between 2:00pm and 4:00pm in Meeting Room 6.  Susan will also be there to
receive feedback on the "Recruitment and Careers" website.  The UA/CALS
Rangelands team is already compiling a list of enhancements we plan to add
in Phase 2!!

 

3)      While we will NOT be offering training sessions at SRM for the
UA/CALS state-hosted sites or for entering metadata/database records for
your state content, Kelly Arizmindi and the UA/CALS Web team will conduct
training sessions for everyone at the annual meeting in Alaska.  

 

4)      John Tanaka and his team have a booth at SRM to show you the new
eXtension Rangelands website.   We will also have some marketing materials
at the booth about the new Rangelands West websites for your use.
