Dear Rangelands West Partnership members,
I hope you are all having a wonderful week thus far! On behalf of the Steering Committee, I am sending out a few documents (attached) for discussion at the Annual Meeting in March. The Steering Committee has been working through the Bylaws to update the information within them. We would like you to look over the bylaws before the meeting in March and we will discuss the changes at the Tucson meeting.
The first attachment includes the original wording of the Partnership Bylaws with the proposed amendments that are indented, italicized and/or noted with red font or a strike-through (as explained at the top of the document). The next attachment is the original Rangelands West Partnership Bylaws (from 2008). The final attachment is the proposed revision of the Partnership Bylaws with the amendments (that were in the first attachment), only the document is the "clean" version so it will include the changes to the 2008 document but not the pre-revision wording.
Please review these and be prepared to discuss, ask questions, suggest modifications and hopefully vote on the Bylaws at the March meeting.
Speaking of which... Our 10th Annual Meeting is getting closer, so please don't forget to register! The Arizona team has been working very hard to prepare for what looks to be a great meeting in Tucson:). Please visit the meeting website at http://cals.arizona.edu/dean/rwp and get your registration in today!
One more item of business before the meeting in March. We are looking for our next Secretary-Treasurer! The Steering Committee would like to make a call for nominees or volunteers. You can read about the duties of the Secretary-Treasurer in the attached Bylaws documents but feel free also to contact any of the Executive Committee officers (Mark Thorne, Jeanne Pfander, or me) about their experience having served in that position. Please send your nominations or indications of interest in this position to me (re: call for nominations/volunteers for Secretary-Treasurer), or any of the other Executive Committee officers as soon as possible. Thanks so much and we look forward to seeing you all in Arizona!
Grace and peace,
Rachel
