[Rangelands] Heads Up! Rangelands West Partnership 2012 Annual Meeting in Tucson, AZ - March 11-14

Greetings Rangelands West partners!

The Arizona team has been busy planning for the 2012 Rangelands West Partnership 10th Annual Meeting in March. We want to get this on your calendar - so hold the dates March 11-14 (Sunday - Wednesday)!

See attached flyer for information about the lodging arrangements - the very conveniently located Four Points Sheraton - just off the UA campus. You can make your room reservations now if you'd like.

The online registration for the meeting itself will be available in January 2012. The registration fee is $150.

The basic outline of the agenda for the meeting will be similar to previous years. We'll start on Sunday evening with a welcome reception. The main meeting days are Monday and Tuesday, March 12-13.

But don't be in a hurry to leave! We are planning a great field trip led by Dr. Mitch McClaran on Wednesday morning (March 14) to the Santa Rita Experimental Range south of Tucson. (There will be a modest fee for this (optional) field trip.)

A few additional notes:

*         We will be making arrangements for the Monday and Tuesday agenda topics to allow those folks who can't join us in Tucson to participate in the meeting virtually (if not virtuously!).

*         You might want to come a day or so early to attend the awesome Tucson Festival of Books, March 10-11, 2012. See http://tucsonfestivalofbooks.org/. As I understand it, the conference rates for the hotel will apply for those dates.
