[Rangelands] REMINDER: NEED TO RENEW WERA PARTICIPATION (NIMSS Appendix E)

Hello all,

 

Just a gentle reminder that if you haven't had your name added to the
Appendix E form, please do so as soon as possible.  Colin just sent me an
update on who has been added so far (AZ, CA, CO, and UT - THANK YOU!).  We
need to get as many of you in the system as possible.  

 

 If I understand this process correctly, Appendix E just shows who is
participating, it does not bind your administrator to funding your travel to
the annual meeting.  It only means you can go to them and request that
support when the time comes.  

 

Please let us know if you have any questions about this.  We will be happy
to help if we can.

Hello all,

 

A quick update on our new WERA proposal.  Thanks to the good work of our
committee (Karen, Allison, Jeanne, Mark, Rachel Frost, and Amy) we completed
and submitted our new Rangelands West WERA proposal to Colin on time (see
attached).  It will now go under review as project number: WERA_TEMP3141.
The title continues as "Rangelands West Partnership" with our administrative
advisor: Colin Kaltenbach (AES) and a start date of 10/01/2011.  

 

The information below was automatically sent to your AES and/or Cooperative
Extension Director.  What needs to happen now is for you to contact your
Director and ask that your name be added to Appendix E as an official
participant.  At the UA, we have a person in Colin's office who will add the
UA participants to the system as per the directions below.  Hopefully, you
will have someone who can do this for you, too.  Note that the stated
deadline is September 27th!

 

Please let us know if you have any questions about this request. 

 

Also, you will be receiving more information about a number of recently
funded Rangelands West-related proposals shortly.  It is going to be an
exciting year ahead and we look forward to hearing about new state site
developments, too.

2. Insert your login and password. (If you don't have a login ID, you'll
need to register, also at the URL above. If you forgot, please use the
"Track ID" function on the login page. Please do not re-register.) 

3. In theTop Menu, Select Project then Select View Projects 

4. Enter the project number, WERA_TEMP3141

To Create and Submit an Appendix E for a Proposed Project: 

1. Go to the National Information Management Support System at
http://nimss.umd.edu 

2. Insert your login and password. (If you don't have a login, you'll need
to register, also at the above URL.) 

3. In theTop Menu, Select Participants then Select Draft/Edit 

4. On the Left side Menu, Select "Draft New" 

5. Select the project number WERA_TEMP3141 

6. Fill out the form. 

7. Click on Submit.
