<b>from any major with any GPA</b> who have completed at least one college level English course. This includes incoming students with AP or dual enrollment credits, so please feel free to share this opportunity at orientations!<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;background:white"><b><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:black"><a href="https://air.arizona.edu/liverman-scholars"><span style="font-weight:normal">The Diana Liverman Scholars Program</span><span style="text-decoration:none"> </span></a></span></b><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#403635">provides
students with experiential and field-based opportunities to develop skills in science communication and environmental storytelling. Scholars will work with a non-profit community partner to enhance their mission and effective practice through communication
projects. <b>This year’s partners will be the Environmental Defense Fund Youth Water Leadership Coalition and Ishkashitaa Refugee Network</b>. Liverman Scholars will participate in 3-4 day long/overnight expeditions throughout the year in addition to a weekly
skill building workshop and receive mentorship from faculty, graduate student, and peer undergraduate mentors. Accepted participants will receive 2 academic credits and $500 per semester for their work.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
