<span style="font-family:"-webkit-standard",serif;color:black">Interns in the Bio/Diversity Project are paired with local K-12 teachers and serve in Title I schools to implement culturally relevant, place-based, and hands-on environmental science curriculum
focused on the biodiversity of the Sonoran Desert. This upcoming Spring 2021 semester, interns will facilitate distance-learning lessons to local K-12 students. In exchange for a commitment of 10 hours per week, interns receive 3-units of academic credit through
any of 17 different departments. Weekly internship classes and assignments help equip interns with the skills necessary to develop curriculum and teach through an equity lens, and are utilized directly in the K-12 classrooms.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
