students interested in a 3-credit, remote or in-person Fall 2020 semester internship. The Bio/Diversity Project brings together the combined efforts of the Women in Science and Engineering Program (WISE) at the University of Arizona, the Arizona-Sonora Desert
Museum, and the Friends of Saguaro National Park to diversify the environmental sciences and provide environmental science outreach education to underserved schools in metro-Tucson.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

curriculum focused on the biodiversity of the Sonoran Desert. In exchange for a commitment of 10 hours per week, interns receive 3 units of academic credit through any of 17 different departments. Weekly internship classes and assignments help equip interns
with the skills necessary to develop curriculum and teach through an equity lens, and are utilized directly in the K-12 classrooms. Classes are followed up with an educational field trip to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and/or Saguaro National Park to expose
students to a variety of environmental science careers.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
