<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:13.5pt">Spend the first half of your summer break in Africa exploring the outstanding diversity of large mammal species while earning six UA credits. Aside
from observing large numbers of wild animals you will meet Africans who still adhere to their traditional cultures. For your education adventure you will stay in roof tents on 4x4 trucks throughout the program and interact with the famous Himba and San people.
You will learn about real life African conservation challenges including elephants and large predators and get a hands-on introduction. This UA abroad program has been running every year since 2008 and served a large number of students over these 12 years.
The program is open to all majors.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

biology and environmental conservation, and can be added to your transcripts and resume. It emphasizes: Cultural immersion, experiential learning, student engagement outside of the classroom, field experiences in remote international settings, and hands-on
learning while participating in international conservation.</span><span style="font-size:13.5pt"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
