meeting with the help of the Bruce Briggs Memorial Scholarship. The International Plant Propagators’ Society (IPPS) Western Region awards the
<b>Bruce Briggs Memorial Scholarship</b> to deserving students in agriculture and horticulture educational programs.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">This scholarship is given each year to college and/or university students who are studying plant<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">propagation and demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing propagation as a career. The<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">scholarship pays for students to attend the annual International Plant Propagators’ Society<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">meeting held in the Western Region. Both the registration fee (includes most meals) and shared accommodations are covered by the scholarship.
<b>Travel costs are the responsibility of the scholarship recipient.</b> This year the meeting will be held at the
<b>Hilton Santa Cruz/Scotts Valley, Santa Cruz, California from September 24 – 28, 2019.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The annual meeting gives the students the opportunity to hear presentations on various areas of plant propagation and network with industry professionals. A tour of nursery
propagation facilities and affiliated businesses is an integral part of the scheduled activities. An added benefit of the award is a one-year student membership to IPPS. Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible for a second scholarship.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
