</span></b><b><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Arizona<span style="color:#222222"> in late-May 2015. Freshmen and sophomores with an interest in the environment and in promoting diversity and inclusion are strongly encouraged

<b><span style="color:#222222"> Applications are available now and will be accepted through February 15, 2015. </span></b><span style="color:#222222">To be eligible for the program, students must be current freshmen or sophomores enrolled at University

<span style="color:#222222"> Students accepted into the program will attend “Conservation Leadership Week,” an expense-paid, week-long conservation leadership program in coordination with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Conservation Training Center
in West Virginia and will work full-time for 8-9 weeks on field research projects with faculty and graduate student mentors at University of</span> Arizona. <span style="color:#222222">During their second summer, students will complete a paid internship with
local, state, federal, or tribal agencies or NGOs. <b>Students will earn approximately $5,000 each summer, receive a $1,000 housing stipend, and gain the valuable skills and experience that are necessary for a successful career in conservation.</b></span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;background:white">
<span style="color:#222222"> During the academic year, students from across the Collaborative (</span>which also includes University of Idaho, Cornell University, University of Florida, and North Carolina State University) will connect using social networks
and a 1-credit distance-based course each semester focused on human dimensions of conservation and achieving academic and professional success, attend biweekly group meetings or socials, and interact regularly with graduate student and faculty mentors at UF.<o:p></o:p></p>
