<p class="MsoBlockText"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Book Antiqua","serif"">LOCATION: WFREC in Milton, Florida is on the Gulf Coast in the Panhandle of Florida, Just miles from the Gulf of Mexico. Administrative offices are located at the Milton
campus, and a 650 acre research station is located about 12 miles north of Milton in Jay, FL and 325 miles from the main UF campus at Gainesville. Research is conducted in forestry; natural resource management; turf, landscape, forage and weed sciences. WFREC
faculty and staff are dedicated to interdisciplinary research, teaching, and extension programs which meet the needs of local clientele and could have state- and nation-wide as well as international impact. The center offers educational opportunities for graduate
and undergraduate students. WFREC offers opportunities for greenhouse, shade house, growth chamber and field research. Both WFREC locations are in rural communities in proximity to the resources relevant to the mission of the University of Florida. The location
of WFREC allows the advantages of rural living while being within 30 minutes of Pensacola, one of Florida's major cities. Applicants should expect to spend a portion of their time in Gainesville as well as the WFREC.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
