Additionally, students who are fluent in Spanish will conduct telephone interviews with families of the missing to obtain personally identifiable information about their loved ones that could be useful in making matches. Research projects will be tailored to individual student interests, but could include topics such as the impact of civil discourse on effective policymaking, the contributions of citizen deliberation, analysis of debate rhetoric, or how polarization changes message interpretation.
