This course has been specifically developed for undergraduate students to take simultaneously with their first-year composition course (ENGL 102 or 108), and is designed to provide them with the skills needed to conduct effective and efficient academic research in their composition course and beyond. Each week students explore different sources of information including the Library, websites, and academic databases, and learn to locate, analyze, and use information directly related to the assignments in their composition course. The course is specifically paced to help students learn and use these tools at the points in the semester when they will need them.
