The Museum is currently seeking a Conservation Research Scientist. This regular/full-time position is responsible for organizing, conducting, and<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-autospace:none'><span style='color:black'>coordinating supervisor approved research/conservation projects on organismal biology, plant systematics, distribution, evolution, and the general ecology & natural history of the Sonoran Desert Region. Duties include: developing and undertaking original research programs in areas<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-autospace:none'><span style='color:black'>of expertise; writing grant proposals and fundraising for projects and research & conservation activities; and publishing in scientific, peer-reviewed journals, popular magazines, and other media. This position requires a doctoral degree (PhD) in a field related to the conservation of biological diversity, a minimum of five years experience in research & conservation of the Sonoran Desert Region, and a minimum of five years of diverse fundraising experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have published records in scientific<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-autospace:none'><span style='color:black'>and popular publications.
