Student Database Work

The University of Arizona Herbarium is currently searching for a part-time student employee to assist with managing our collection of plant specimens. The student will utilize software for entering and correcting information from plant specimen labels into an existing web-enabled collections database.

Essential qualifications:
• Enrolled at UA as an undergraduate for at least 6 credit hours
• Excellent organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision
• Available to work in-person at the facility on UA campus
• Available for approximately 10 hours/week

Preferred qualifications:
• Available for two semesters or more
• Experience collecting or working with plant specimens
• Courses in plant taxonomy or other organism-level biology
• Experience with databases / websites
• Interest in natural history museums

Salary begins at $13/ hour Depending on Experience
