  1.  Name and number of the course: Plant Cell Structure and Function (PLS 359)

Note: Requirement of PLS major and requirement option for PLS minor



Meeting time: Asynchronous online course in Summer 2021 and asynchronous online and in-person sections in Fall 2021



Course description: Whether the student will work with plants as a physiologist, pathologist, ecologist, agronomist, horticulturalist, or molecular biologist, it is important to know how a plant grows, develops, and how it responds to an ever-changing environment. In this course, they will get an comprehensive understanding of plant cell structure and function.



The self-sufficient online course will include video lectures, study aides, clearly laid out powerpoint lecture files, three real life crop improvement that were made possible by concepts covered in the class, and quizzes. I also offer Zoom office hours to help students and will be available to communicate with them via email or zoom to answer their questions.

Note: This course is cross listed in BE, INFO, and PLS at the 400 & 500 level
