The University and college have sent out various messages regarding COVID-19 and how we are implementing temporary changes to ensure the safety of students, staff, and faculty. Please read through each email thoroughly as they contain important details to . Here are some quick recaps:

* All classes will resume March 18th in an online format for the remainder of the semester.
* If you reside in a dorm, please avoid returning to campus if at all possible.

For safety tips, updates on COVID-19, and how we, as a University, are responding please visit https://www.arizona.edu/coronavirus-covid-19-information. There you will also find links to the Centers of Disease Control, Arizona Department of Health services, Pima County, and more. I've also attached a quick tip sheet provided by Student Wellness & Retention.
Lastly, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. While I will not be in the office physically, I will be available via email (mazzi at email.arizona.edu<mailto:mazzi at email.arizona.edu>) and phone (direct line: 520-621-5403, please leave a voicemail if I do not pick-up, so that I can follow-up with you) during regular business hours: 8am-5pm MST. Please remember to check your UA email regularly- at least daily for relevant updates. I understand how stressful these changes can be and am here to help in any way possible. We will reassess the situation on April 6th for further protocol on our end, at which point we may be able to transition back to in person advising.
Sending you warm wishes of health and safety to you and all your loved ones!
Sincerely,
Maya

ASEMS fosters a culture of inclusive excellence at the University of Arizona by empowering STEM students with the tools necessary to succeed while recognizing their unique backgrounds and assets.
The University of Arizona sits on the original homelands of Indigenous peoples who have stewarded this land since time immemorial. Aligning with the university's core value of a diverse and inclusive community, it is an institutional responsibility to recognize and acknowledge the people, culture, and history that make up the Wildcat community. At the institutional level, it is important to be practice in broadening awareness throughout campus to ensure our students feel represented and valued.
