Keep in mind the important deadlines below if you are planning on making schedule changes or plan on graduating this May.

  *   January 22: Last day to drop <https://t.e2ma.net/click/v86nhb/neun2t/36yitn> without<https://t.e2ma.net/click/v86nhb/neun2t/jzzitn> a W<https://t.e2ma.net/click/v86nhb/neun2t/zr0itn>. Classes dropped on or before this date will remain on your UAccess academic record with a status of dropped, but will not appear on your transcript. Students can drop via UAccess Student Center.
  *   February 1: Deadline to apply for Spring and Summer degree candidacy for this year. Applications will be accepted after this date, however a $50.00 Late Candidacy Application fee will be assessed.

Spring 2019

January 22: Last day to be eligible for a refund<https://t.e2ma.net/click/v86nhb/neun2t/neyitn> when dropping units for Spring 2019

January 22: Last day to drop <https://t.e2ma.net/click/v86nhb/neun2t/36yitn> without<https://t.e2ma.net/click/v86nhb/neun2t/jzzitn> a W<https://t.e2ma.net/click/v86nhb/neun2t/zr0itn>. Classes dropped on or before this date will remain on your UAccess academic record with a status of dropped, but will not appear on your transcript. Students can drop via UAccess Student Center.

January 23: W period begins. A penalty grade of W will be awarded for each course withdrawal and the class(es) will appear on your transcript.

Complete withdrawal period begins for students needing to withdraw from all courses at the university.

January 30: Registration from zero units requires a written statement, pre-payment, instructor and Dean's approval on a Change of Schedule form, and Registrar approval upon submission. See the Registration Deadline catalog policy<https://t.e2ma.net/click/v86nhb/neun2t/fk1itn> for more information.

January 31: $125.00 Unpaid Tuition Charge<https://t.e2ma.net/click/v86nhb/neun2t/vc2itn> applied for unpaid tuition due 1/9/2019.

  1.  Summer Horticultural Internship

Attached is a description of a Summer Horticultural Internship.  This is a wonderful opportunity for a student to work in two different public gardens, Berkshire Botanical Garden as well as Naumkeag, a Gilded Age-style estate and National Historic Landmark.  Attached is an article about the 2018 interns that has just been published in the Garden's quarterly magazine Cuttings.

  1.  Summer Internship Opportunity - The Isabella Welles Hunnewell Internship

Summer internship with a public garden specializing in plant conservation, horticulture, and botanical education.  We have internships focusing on 4 different areas: arboriculture, curation, horticulture, and plant production.  We seek a diverse group of interns with various backgrounds from all over.

  1.  2019 Living Collections Fellowship at the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University

The Living Collections Fellow (LCF) is part of the Arboretum's Living Collections team and supports significant initiatives in Curation, Horticulture, and Plant Production. The LCF is assigned a large-scale project that spans the duration of this two-year experience. This next LCF will be a member of the Plant Production team, spearheading the creation of a plant introduction program.

  1.  Summer 2019 Internship Opportunity - Eshraghi Nursery

Eshraghi Nursery is a grower of woody ornamentals, specializing in Japanese maples and grafted conifers.  We produce both container and field grown material on 300 acres in Hillsboro, Oregon.  We are now offering paid work experience from June to August for students studying agriculture, horticulture or related fields.  Our college internship provides hands-on work experience in all areas of nursery production.  Work will rotate through all aspects of the nursery: field work (staking and weeding), Shipping, Propagation and Sales (data entry).
