Four managers at Bayer Crop Science are looking to hiring 14 Greenhouse Technicians in Tucson, Arizona. These positions are contract. The contract is for over 4 years.

Here are the opportunities and if you could please send it to recent graduates with a Bachelors degree with experience working with plants in a controlled environment such as greenhouse nurseries, or growth chambers, I would greatly appreciate it.

Description: MON1JP00019274 - Greenhouse Technician

As the successful candidate for this position, you will work within a Controlled Environment Production Team. Duties will be both independent and team-based, working with both full-time members of the Production Team, as well as contractors. In this role, most time will be spent on your feet, covering greenhouse and growth chamber activities, including operation of greenhouse automation, data entry, IT tool operation, fertigation, irrigation, and plant care observations, corn pollinating activities, corn harvest activities.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Experience working with plants in controlled environments (greenhouse, nurseries, and/or growth chambers).
Qualifications:
* Associate's degree required and 2-5 years of experience in the field or Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of experience in the field or related area.
* Qualified candidates should have knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures within a greenhouse environment, and rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, with attention to detail.
* Experience working with environmental control systems, fertilizers, plants in production environments, and/or pest management plans, desired.
* Good communication skills and organization skills is a must.
* Ability to lift 50 pounds

As the successful candidate for this position, you will work within a Controlled Environment Production Team. Duties will be a mix of both independent and team-based activities, working with both full-time members of the Production Team, as well as contractors. In this role, the majority of time will be spent on your feet, covering general greenhouse and agronomic work station activities, plant and pest scouting, including assisting in the operation of greenhouse automation, fertigation, irrigation, and environmental controls systems.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills: Experience working with plants in controlled environments (greenhouse, nurseries, and/or growth chambers).

Qualifications:

- This role requires;

o an associate degree with 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area, or

o Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.

- Qualified candidates should have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a greenhouse environment, and rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, with attention to detail a must.

- Previous greenhouse experience and controlled environment experience a plus.

- Experience working with environmental control systems, fertilizers, plants in production environments, and/or pest management plans, desired.

- General knowledge of working in agriculture and greenhouse environments including cleaning and upkeep, fertilizer mixing, plant scouting, pest management, and/or supply management is advantageous.

- Good communication and organization skills desired.

- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in greenhouse environments.
