Spring 2019

March 2 - 10: Spring Recess
March 3: Last day to make registration changes without the Dean's signature.
March 4: All Change of Schedule<https://t.e2ma.net/click/fktsjb/neun2t/7p4qjo> forms to ADD or CHANGE classes require not only the instructor's signature indicating permission, but also the Dean's signature. By policy, permission from the Dean to make a registration change at this time requires an extraordinary reason.

  1.  How to Apply for 2019-2020 CALS Scholarships - Application available NOW!

Apply by April 1, 2019!

As a CALS major, you're automatically eligible for more than $850,000 in scholarship money - across nearly 200 scholarships - reserved specifically for majors in our college. You don't have to have a perfect GPA either - you could qualify based on your campus and community involvement, personal background and experiences, or career goals. Award amounts vary each year but typically range from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars for each scholarship.

  1.  Research Opportunity for Undergraduate Students

The U'Ren Lab (a member of the Ecosystems Genomics Institute located in BIO5) is looking for motivated undergraduate students to help with a variety of research projects (www.uren.arizona.edu<http://www.uren.arizona.edu/>). Research in the U'Ren Lab is focused on microbiome ecology and evolution, with a special focus on symbiotic fungi associated with photosynthetic tissues of plants and lichens. Students will gain experiences in microbiology, molecular biology, and genomics through assisting with general lab preparations, microbial culturing, PCR and electrophoresis, and data analysis.
