Please consider the attached information regarding the ASHS Conference, July 21-25, 2019 in Las Vegas and the Student Education and Career Day, July 21, 1-6:30 p.m.


The ASHS Conference is an academic event comprising of over 800 presentations, workshops, featured luncheon speakers, and plenty of networking opportunities.  It is where the scientists, industry and extension agents come together to discuss the latest research in horticulture, to network, to mentor students, and to learn about innovations and advances in horticulture.

ASHS is hosting a Student Education and Career Day as part of the ASHS annual conference.  On the afternoon of July 21st, we are offering seminars on strategic career planning for students (undergraduate and graduate) and early career professionals.  ASHS members from academia, extension offices and industry will guide students through a series of lectures and presentations on how to plan their future successfully. Following these presentations, ASHS is offering an opportunity for industry and graduate programs to participate in a Career Fair, 5-6:30 p.m.  This is an excellent opportunity for schools and companies to connect with students and early career professionals in horticulture.  We would love for the University of Arizona to be part of this career fair.  We will provide an exhibit table for you to highlight any job opportunities, internship programs and other openings at your school.  Participation is free although we would like to have a firm commitment.
